Terms of Service

1. What we do
Fly Guyz Detailing is a fully mobile auto detailing business based in Lakewood, CA, serving Long Beach, Los Angeles County and Orange County. We travel to where your vehicle is parked and perform the service there. We are a detailing service — we are not a body shop, a mechanic, or a paintless dent repair service.
2. Prices and quotes
Every price shown on this site is a starting price, not a final quote. Final pricing depends on vehicle size and actual condition, which we can only confirm in person.
Conditions that commonly add to the price include:
- Heavy pet hair, sand, or excessive trash.
- Deep or set-in staining, mold, or odor.
- Vehicles that have been neglected for a long period.
- Oversized, lifted, or commercial vehicles.
If the vehicle's condition means the job costs more than quoted, we will tell you the revised price before we start. You can accept it, scale the service back, or decline at no charge.
3. What we need at your location
Because we come to you, the appointment depends on a few things being available where the vehicle is parked:
- Legal, safe parking with enough room to work around the entire vehicle.
- That you own the vehicle, or are authorised by the owner to have it serviced. By booking you confirm this.
- Permission to perform the service at that location — from a landlord, HOA, property manager or employer where one applies. Getting that permission is your responsibility.
- Access to water and a standard power outlet, unless we have agreed otherwise in advance.
- Reasonable weather and lighting. Some services cannot be performed in rain, high wind, or extreme heat.
If we arrive and the location cannot support the service, we will do what we can, reschedule, or charge a trip fee for the visit. Tell us in advance if you are unsure — we would rather solve it before we drive out.
4. Scheduling, cancellations and no-shows
A booking request submitted through this site is a request, not a confirmed appointment. Your appointment is confirmed when we confirm it by call or text.
- Please give us at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.
- If nobody is available and the vehicle is not accessible when we arrive, that is a no-show and may be charged a trip fee.
- Arrival times are estimates. Traffic and the job before yours can move them. We will tell you if we are running late.
- We may reschedule for weather or circumstances outside our control, at no charge to you.
5. Your vehicle's condition
Detailing reveals damage that dirt was hiding. Swirls, scratches, rock chips, oxidation, worn or cracked trim, torn upholstery, existing dents and failing clear coat frequently become more visible after a vehicle is properly cleaned. Making existing damage visible is not the same as causing it.
- We photograph vehicles before we begin as a record of the condition we received them in.
- Tell us in advance about aftermarket paint, wraps, vinyl, PPF, previous bodywork, loose trim, or anything already damaged.
- Some stains, odors, burns, etching and sun damage are permanent. We will tell you honestly if we think something will not come out, and we do not guarantee removal of anything we have flagged.
- Please remove valuables, personal documents and anything fragile before we start. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
6. Liability
We take real care with every vehicle, and we carry responsibility for our own work. If we damage your vehicle through our negligence, tell us immediately — before we leave the location if at all possible, and in any case within 48 hours — so we can inspect it and make it right.
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, our total liability for any claim arising out of a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, for damage revealed rather than caused by cleaning, for mechanical or electrical faults, or for indirect or consequential losses such as lost time or lost income.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under California law.
7. Payment
Payment is due when the work is complete, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Larger jobs such as paint correction, ceramic coating or fleet work may require a deposit. Memberships are billed on the schedule agreed when you sign up and can be cancelled with notice before the next billing date.
8. Deposits and refunds
We take payment after the work is done, so there is normally nothing to refund. Where money does change hands before the job, these are the rules:
- Before we start — if you cancel with at least 24 hours' notice, any deposit you have paid is refunded in full or moved to your new date, whichever you prefer.
- Short notice and no-shows — a deposit covers the slot we held and the drive out, so it may be kept if you cancel inside 24 hours or the vehicle is not accessible when we arrive. Any deposit amount and the trip fee are told to you when the appointment is booked, never applied as a surprise afterwards.
- After the work — if something was missed or not done properly, we fix it (see section 10). We would rather redo the work than refund it, but where a redo is not practical we will refund the part of the service that was not delivered.
- Not refundable — a completed service you simply changed your mind about, and results we told you in advance might not be achievable.
Refunds go back the way you paid, normally within five business days. Ask us about anything here before you book rather than after.
9. Photos and video
We photograph and record vehicles we work on and may publish that footage on our website, Instagram and TikTok to show our work. We do not publish license plates, VINs, street addresses, or anything identifying you or where you live.
You can opt out. Tell us before or during the appointment and we will keep your vehicle's photos private. If something of yours has already been published and you want it taken down, email flyguyzdetailing@gmail.com and we will remove it.
10. If you're not happy
Walk around the vehicle with us before we leave. If we missed something, we will fix it on the spot — that is the whole point of the final walkaround. If you notice something after we have gone, contact us within 48 hours and we will make it right where the issue is something we can reasonably correct.
11. Our right to decline
We may decline or stop a job if the vehicle contains biohazards, infestation, or hazardous material; if the location is unsafe; if the vehicle's condition is beyond what we can safely or reasonably service; or if anyone at the location is abusive or threatening. Where we have already started, we will charge only for work actually performed.
12. Texts and communication
Booking or texting us means you agree to receive text messages about your booking. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Full details, including how we handle your phone number, are in our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Los Angeles County, California.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published here at the time you book is the version that applies to that booking. Questions? Call or text (562) 239-9424.
